This in-home visit is designed to help you feel prepared, organized, and confident before your dog goes into labor. Together, we will set up your whelping area, review supplies, go over the stages of labor, discuss when to call the vet, and create a clear whelping plan so you know exactly what to expect. We will also go over how to take your dog’s temperature, how to track puppies at birth, and how to prepare for the first 72 hours with newborn puppies.

This visit is especially helpful for first-time breeders or families whose dog is whelping for the first time, and helps create a calm, prepared environment for a positive whelping experience.

Support when you need it most.

Starting a few days before your dog’s due date, you will have on-call access for questions, guidance, and support through early labor. If you’re unsure whether something is normal, wondering if labor has started, or just need reassurance, you will have someone experienced to contact by text, phone, or video.

Many breeders find this service invaluable, as whelping often starts late at night and it helps to have calm, experienced guidance to support you through the process and help you decide when veterinary care may be needed.

This service includes:

• On-call from 5 days before due date until 24-hours post birth

• Unlimited text support throughout on-call period 

• Up to 4 video phone calls (20 min each)

• Guidance on stages of labor and puppy care after birth

• Guidance on when/if to contact your veterinarian

• Additional phone/video support: $50/hour

An experienced extra set of hands during whelping — supplies included.

We attend the whelping in your home to support you and your dog during labor and delivery. Our role is to help monitor labor, assist with newborn puppies if needed, help keep puppies warm and nursing, record birth times and weights, and provide calm, experienced support throughout the process.

Whelping supplies are included and brought to your home, including items such as towels, gloves, bulb syringe, umbilical clamps, scale for puppy weights, thermometer, puppy ID collars, and record keeping sheets.

This service is ideal for first-time breeders, giant breeds, or experienced breeders who simply want an extra set of hands and support to help the whelping go as smoothly and safely as possible.

Due to the time-sensitive nature of in-home birth attendance, this service must be requested in advance to ensure availability. Please use the booking link below to request services. Support for the first critical days.

This visit takes place 24–48 hours after the puppies are born. During this visit, we check that puppies are nursing well, review puppy weights, make sure mom is comfortable, and set up a good system for cleaning, bedding, and daily care. We also go over early neurological stimulation, record keeping, and what to expect over the next few weeks.

This visit helps ensure puppies and mom get off to a strong, healthy start and that you feel confident caring for the litter.
